Puppies for Christmas.

Are you considering purchasing a puppy for xmas?

It sounds like a great idea - they are so cute and small, your kids will love it!

STOP!

Puppies are also a 24hr a day commitment. They poo, eat everything (including your kids new xmas toys) and they need ALOT of attention. Puppies also grow up into dogs that arent so small and cute anymore.

The key to adding a new pet to your life the right way, is by being prepared — not just on the day you bring your new animal home, but for every day after. A pet is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

When purchasing a puppy please keep a few things in mind such as being mindful of where you buy the puppy. Some puppies are sold from irresponsible breeders or puppy farms. If buying from these places, the odds are against you to find a happy and healthy puppy.

Rescues, shelters, and reputable breeders really are the best places to go and will ensure you get the best puppy for you.

Another thing to keep in mind is to buy a puppies that will suit your lifestyle. All puppies are cute when little but as they grow they require more commitment. Some breeds require alot of exercise, some require very little. Some pups are boisterious for quite a while. please do your research into breeds before deciding which breed to buy.

Lastly, be mindful that pets are a lifelong commitment and not just for a christmas present
